- Teak wood: hose down furniture with fresh water, avoiding high-pressure hose. Scrub the furniture with a soft bristle brush and a solution of 2/3 cup of laundry detergent and 1/4 cup of bleach in one gallon of warm water. After, rinse the entire piece with fresh water to remove any remaining cleaning solution. Sling fabric/woven straps: Brush off loose dirt, hose down with fresh water. Use cleaning mixture of 1/2 cup of chlorine bleach, 1/4 cup of natural soap, and a gallon of water
