Company Policy on Drug Testing:

GENERAL: This statement of policy prohibits the unlawful manufacture,use, influence, possession, sale, purchase, distribution, or offer to manufacture, sell, purchase, hold, or distribute alcohol, controlled substances, or drugs by any employee during work hours or at any time while on Company premises. Random drug testing of Company drivers of Company vehicles are managed by Department of Transportation guidelines and an independent testing service. Drugs and alcohol include any and all substances or medications that will alter one or more bodily functions, such as coordination reflexes, vision, mental capacity, or judgment, whether they are available over the counter, by prescription, or otherwise.
PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING: All pre-employment screening will be performed pursuant to and in compliance with the law of RI or MA as applicable. The Company requires all job applicants to submit to pre-employment drug-screening test if the applicant receives an offer of employment conditioned on a negative test result. After the application is submitted, the hiring manager will make a determination as to their interest in interviewing the applicant for a position. After the interviewing process, a determination will made whether to make an offer of employment. If the job applicant has been given an offer of employment conditioned on the applicant receiving a negative test result, the applicant will be contacted and asked to submit to the pre-employment drug-screening test. Pre-employment screenings help reduce the chance of hiring individuals who currently use illegal drugs or individuals who use legal drugs in an illegal manner or alcohol at times on in amounts that would indicate a potential for unsafe work performance. Failure to submit to the test will result in disqualification from further consideration for employment. When reporting to the medical facility for drug testing, an applicant must present a valid picture identification. POST-EMPLOYMENT TESTING: Massachusetts Employees: a random testing is done for distribution center and maintenance staff due to the need for continued safety in these areas. Heavy equipment is operated in these areas on a daily basis, and the safety of the employees, customers, or others may be at a significant risk, or there may be significant risk of corporate liability or of damage to property. Employees will be randomly tested throughout their employment.Rhode Island Employees: if reasonable grounds exists of drug or alcohol use, the employee may be subject to a post-employment drug and alcohol screening test. (All testing will be performed pursuant to and in compliance with R.I.G.L.28-6.5-1) Upon such an event, the employee will be requested to submit to a drug and alcohol screening test. Failure to submit to the test or positive results will result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination from employment. DRUG TESTING CONSENT FORM: I have read the company statements on pre-employment and post-employment drug testing and understand that all current employees and job candidates who have been offered a position must submit to controlled substance testing when requested.
