Cardi's Furniture is Proud to Support Julie's Family Learning Program
This program has served the Greater Boston community over the last 35 years by helping hundreds of
disadvantaged, low-income single mothers and their children break the cycle of poverty. By providing families the critical tools they need ? education, job training, parenting and life skills, food and clothing assistance, excellent childhood programming, a Montessori pre-school, and much more - the families can finally pull themselves out of crisis and move towards much greater stability. Most importantly, this in turn opens the door to a far better future for the children, and the destructive legacy of intergenerational poverty can be brought to an end. The innovation of Julie's is that approach to education and social services is holistic, intensive, and tailored to the families'
pressing needs. Instead of having to navigate a labyrinth of services spread
throughout the city, mothers can access over twenty services in one single, welcoming
location. Serving the parent and child simultaneously has the additional effect of strengthening the family unit and fostering healthy parent-child relationships. [visit website]
